So sad! This Gaby's location seems to now be permanently closed. We have come here very often for a decade - always reliably good food, and great value for the money. I have noticed the quality and physical location declined a lot in the past year-ish, so maybe this was a harbinger of things to come. Although I think Covid may have played a role, I'm a bit surprised because they always had a robust drive-thru business (which was our go-to). Ah well, I guess it means a hike to the Venice Blvd location, east of the 405.

I'm a go to schwarma girl and this is my local joint. I usually order the wraps hot French fries never served cold or warm. Try the meat or chicken it's good!

June 2023 Marina del Rey: On the way home, I realized that I had not been to Gaby's in a long time! I also miss the location that was closer, by the beach! I ordered at the drive-thru & was happily on my way home! Falafel Pita: Flavorful, plentiful & delicious! Fries: The paprika on the golden thick fries are perfection! Option of salad or fries... opted for fries! Baklava: They were out of this popular treat by 7PM...was so looking forward to it! Grape Leaves: Love!!! Incredibly tasty! Customer Service: Matt in the Drive-thru was really nice! Overall: Gaby's is still a favorite, delicious falafel pita w/fries, as well as tasty grape leaves! Looking forward to getting baklava next time!

I discovered Gaby's long ago when they used to have Groupon deals. I miss those deals. It's a fast casual place and my go to is the chicken schwarma plate. The food is fresh and tasty. Portions are big as 2 people can split the chicken schwarma plate and they are usually very generous with the tasty and addictive garlic sauce. On my most recent visit, I showed the cashier the free fountain soda offer for checking in on Yelp. He was not familiar with the program (nor Yelp in general it seemed) and looked at me like I was trying to pull a heist on Fort Knox. I was taking the food to go and had a long drive ahead of me so I thought a soda would have been nice but not worth making a fuss about. He did ask one of the folks in the kitchen about Yelp after I paid but they didn't know anything about it either. Since I went around 4 pm, I was the only customer and as I waited for my food, I felt he kept staring at me like I was still pulling some scam on him. So, beware who's working if you visit and use your Yelp check-in to claim a soda.
